MP Group UK were appointed principal contractor by North Ayrshire Council to carry out an extensive refurbishment of two twelve-storey high rise blocks in Saltcoats, Ayrshire.

The project involved the installation of new Soltherm’s Innovated 75 Mineral Wool External Wall Insulation System, renewal of windows to all dwellings, new entrance doors and controlled access, upgrade and fit-out of concierge office, renewal of lightening protection, fencing and landscaping, and full external lighting upgrade. The Innovation system allowed MP Group to provide ECO funding which provided NAC with a substantial cost saving as ECO funding had not been a contract requirement.

As principal contractor MP Group UK collaborated with all key project stakeholders, including Network Rail, to ensure the safety of the adjacent railway envelope whilst works progressed.
